Hi, I’m Mitri (Mit) Akel, a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor based in High Point, NC. Thanks to cloud technology, I have the privilege of working with business owners across the country, helping them simplify their finances and thrive.

I specialize in restaurant and hospitality bookkeeping, but I work with businesses of all types. My goal? To handle your bookkeeping and payroll so you can focus on growing your business without the stress of managing the numbers.

Why I Do What I Do

Before launching Thrive Bookkeeping Services, I spent over 15 years owning and operating restaurants. I know firsthand how overwhelming it is to track expenses, run payroll, and stay on top of taxes. I remember wishing I had someone to take care of it all so I could focus on what I loved—running my business.

That experience fueled my passion for helping small and medium-sized business owners. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing my clients increase profits, reduce expenses, and gain clarity over their finances. I’ve developed streamlined bookkeeping systems designed to make financial management easier and more profitable for busy entrepreneurs.

I was born in New York and raised in Florida, where I attended Florida State Community College. Today, I live in High Point, NC, with my amazing wife, Natasha, and our sweet son, Zander.
